Bookmark Contest 2026

Submit your own bookmark design for a chance to win a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card! 4 winning designs will be professionally printed and distributed at Oak Creek Public Library.
 
To enter:
  • Starting July 1, pick up a submission template at any Oak Creek Public Library service desk
  • Create your original design in the area provided
  • Fill out the bottom portion of the form
  • Bring it back to any service desk during the month of July
  • Starting August 1, vote in-person or online (more details coming soon!)

Library Board Meeting

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

OCPL Puzzle Race

Multi-purpose Room

July 10th, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m

Join us in the annual OCPL Puzzle Race! Teams will compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle first within a 1.5 hour time limit.
 
Open to adults and teens. Registration is required. Please limit your team to a minimum of two members and up to a maximum of four members.

Adoptable Dogs Meet and Greet

Come say "Hi!" to adoptable dogs at Woof Gang Rescue's meet and greet. Dogs are not able to be adopted at this event but if you find your next family member, Woof Gang Rescue will get you started in the application process.

30 Haunted Nights: Exploring Wisconsin’s Haunted History

Join authors Brandon Rugzie and Mitch Goth of Haunted US for an engaging look at some of Wisconsin’s most reportedly haunted historic locations. Based on their book 30 Haunted Nights in Wisconsin, this presentation explores the history, folklore, and forgotten figures that have shaped these sites.
 
Geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome to attend. Registration is not required.

Summer Reading Challenge

Registration opened June 13th!

Join Oak Creek Public Library in reading over the summer. This all-ages Summer Reading Challenge runs Saturday, June 13 – Saturday, August 15. Upon registration, participants will have their name added to the window mural overlooking Drexel Town Square. After reading for 15 days, participants will receive a prize. Prizes will be available Saturday, June 27 – Saturday, August 15, or while supplies last.
