Summer Reading Program Begins on 
Monday, June 8!
Let your summer reading adventure begin at the Whitefish Bay Public Library on June 8! We’ve got a program for all ages, whether you are two or one-hundred and two. From babies all the way up to teens, we’ve got paper logs to record your reading.  It’s easy: read on your own, read together, be read to, or read to someone else. Keep track on your paper reading log and earn some amazing coupon experiences, as well as a free book.
 
Adults can use Beanstack (https://wfblibrary.beanstack.com/reader365) to track your reading. Adults can also join in the bonus bingo challenge. Join us for a fun summer of reading! We've got over $1,000 in prizes, thanks to Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library!
Antique Appraisal with Mark Moran
Saturday, June 27, 11AM-2PM
Join us for an antiques and collectibles appraisal event featuring author and antiques expert Mark F. Moran of Iola, Wisconsin.
 
Formerly senior editor of Antiques and Collectibles Books for Krause Publications in Iola, Wis., Moran has also been a contributing editor for Antique Trader magazine. He has served as editor of Antique Review East magazine; as producer of Atlantique City, an antique show held in Atlantic City, N.J.; and as editorial director of F+W Media's Antiques Group. 
 
Moran was also a guest expert on the PBS program Antiques Roadshow for 9 seasons.
 
To register, please call the library at 414-964-4380 beginning Tuesday, June 2. When registering, please let us know the item you will be bringing. See list of approved items following the link on our website. Each person is allowed one item for appraisal.

Virtual Author Talks
Whitefish Bay Public Library will showcase a virtual author talk series each month featuring bestselling, award-winning, and highly-acclaimed authors from around the world.  The featured writers and thought leaders will cover a wide range of fiction and health and wellness genres.

Museum Adventure Pass to Cultural Destinations
This pass is only available to residents of Whitefish Bay.

Receive admission or a special discount at participating Wisconsin and Illinois area cultural destinations! Visit Museum Adventure Passes and find Whitefish Bay Public Library to see which passes are currently available. Most passes are available electronically. Enter your name, library card number and e-mail address.
 
Please allow 24 hours for the pass to be printed or e-mailed. Limited to one pass per household, per loan period. The loan period is seven days and will expire after the date printed on the pass.

Thanks for the Memoirs Book Club will focus on memoirs from authors representing a variety of backgrounds and lived experiences. We will meet on the 2nd Thursday at 10am, every even month (so February, April, June...). This month we're reading Still Life at Eighty: The next interesting thing by Abigail Thomas.

In her new memoir, Abigail Thomas ruminates on aging during the confines of COVID-19 with her trademark mix of humor and wisdom, including valuable, contemplative writing tips along the way.

Tea Time Book Club

Our Tea Time Book Club meets once a month and is led by Library Director Nyama Reed. This month we are reading The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. Tea Time Book Club offers in-person meetings at the Library in the 2nd floor Program Room on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2PM.

About the book:  A four-year-old Mi'kmaq girl goes missing from the blueberry fields of Maine, sparking a tragic mystery that haunts the survivors, unravels a family, and will remain unsolved for nearly fifty years.
