Head of Youth Services Changes
Katie Kiekhaefer's last day as the Head of Youth Services is Friday, January 30. In case you haven't heard, she is leaving to take a librarian position at the Cooperative Children’s Book Center at University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has served this community for more than 12 years and while we're sad to see her go, we are also excited for her new opportunities!

We are so very pleased to announce that Valerie Morris has accepted the position of Head of Youth Services at Whitefish Bay Public Library! Valerie has been an integral part of our library since 2012. She is the artistic force behind our amazing displays, and her collection development knowledge and passion are a huge part of why WFBPL is #1 in circulation per capita for children’s materials. She has also led endless storytimes (especially our beloved toddler time for 1 year olds) and programs over the years.
Light the Library Donation Drive
Thank you to everyone in our community who contributed to the Whitefish Bay Library Foundation’s Light the Library campaign this past December. Thanks to your generosity, we raised more than $20,000 in support of our library — including many donors who chose to make recurring gifts for the first time, helping build a more sustainable foundation for the future.

Founded in 2021, the Whitefish Bay Public Library Foundation strengthens the library’s ability to offer collections, programs, and technology that go beyond what public funding alone can provide. Your support helps ensure that the library continues to grow, innovate, and serve as a vibrant resource for all.

You can support the Whitefish Bay Public Library Foundation at any time of year. Learn more or make a gift at: https://www.wfblibrary.org/donate/foundation.php

Tea Time Book Club
Wednesday,
February 18, 2PM
Our Tea Time Book Club meets once a month and is led by Library Director Nyama Reed. This month we are reading Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Equival.

"This classic love story takes place on the De la Garza ranch, as the tyrannical owner, Mama Elena, chops onions at the kitchen table in her final days of pregnancy. While still in her mother's womb, her daughter to be weeps so violently she causes an early labor, and little Tita slips out amid the spices and fixings for noodle soup. This early encounter with food soon becomes a way of life, and Tita grows up to be a master chef, using cooking to express herself and sharing recipes with readers along the way."-- From CountyCat
