New Year's Resolutions for Library Lovers
Opening on Library Board
Get involved with your library in a unique way! The Greendale Village President is recruiting for one opening on the Board of Trustees of the Greendale Public Library. Library Board membership will allow you to serve your community, learn more about how local government works, and advocate for the interests of library users. No government experience is needed, the environment is casual, and you’ll learn things about libraries you never imagined! The Library Board meets monthly on the third Wednesday, in the evening. The time commitment totals about 3 hours per month including the meeting. You do not need to be a Greendale resident to serve, though a strong connection to Greendale is preferred.

In addition to having a passion for libraries, do you have a background in the areas of marketing, law, fundraising, facilities, or entrepreneurship? Are you a senior citizen or “new adult”? If so, your involvement would be especially valuable! Please consider getting more information about this opportunity.

You can contact Brian, the Library Director, to get more information or ask questions. You can also visit the following Village webpages to learn more and submit your application directly to the Village President:

Application information should be submitted by February 1st, 2026.

Book Cover
"Simon Latch is a lawyer in rural Virginia, making just enough to pay his bills while his marriage slowly falls apart. Then into his office walks Eleanor Barnett, an elderly widow in need of a new will. Apparently, her husband left her a small fortune, and no one knows about it. Once he hooks the richest client of his career, Simon works quietly to keep her wealth under the radar. But soon her story begins to crack. When she is hospitalized after a car accident, Simon realizes that nothing is as it seems, and he finds himself on trial for a crime he swears he didn’t commit: murder. Simon knows he’s innocent. But he also knows the circumstantial evidence is against him, and he could spend the rest of his life behind bars. To save himself, he must find the real killer…." -- Provided by Publisher.
