Bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.
 
Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

Intermediate Microsoft Office

Technology Training Lab

Oct. 2nd - 23rd, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m

Learn intermediate concepts in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher such as: using tables and editing headers/footers, using conditional values and creating charts/graphs, animating slides and using timing, as well as creating shapes and inserting building blocks.  

This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

Friends of the Library Meeting

Civic Center

Oct. 8th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Library Board Meeting

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Begin Your Adventure: Learn to Play Dungeons & Dragons

Business Center

Starts Saturday, Oct. 18th

11:00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m

Designed for adults and young adults with little or no experience playing D&D. We’ll guide you through everything from the basics of roleplaying and rolling dice to understanding character sheets and storytelling mechanics. All materials will be provided, including blank character sheets, dice, laptops, and sourcebooks.
 
Ages 16+. Registration is required.

Haunted Library: Open Mic Night

Do you have a scary story guaranteed to cause goosebumps? Here is your chance to share it! Terrifying tales must be five minutes or less and cannot contain any inappropriate language.
 
Please register to guarantee your spot if you would like to tell your scary story! Registration is not required if you are only planning to attend the show.

Friends of the Library Book Nook: $5 Bag Sale

The Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library are hosting a $5 bag sale at the Book Nook during Fall Fest. Choose from children's books, hardcover fiction and non-fiction, paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and special-priced items.

The Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library are excited to present the 3rd annual Shhh... Silent Auction event. Online bidding runs October 13-25. Come check out the items up for bid in-person from October 21-25 on the 1st floor in the Multi-purpose Room, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
 
Bid on unique items donated by local businesses and community partners. Check back often to make sure yours is still the highest bid! Proceeds benefit the library's community enrichment and public outreach.
 
This event is geared toward adults. Registration is required for online bidding but not in-person viewing. All bids must be placed online at www.oakcreeklibrary.org/silent-auction. No in-person or phone-in bids will be accepted. Bidding closes at noon on October 25 during Oak Creek's Fall Fest.

Family Fun: Stuffed Animal Sleepover

Bring your stuffed animal friend for crafts, a story time, and a stuffed animal sleepover at the library. Wearing pajamas is encouraged! Be sure to check Facebook to see what kind of fun the stuffed animal friends find after the library closes.
