SUMMER READING PROGRAM RUNS THROUGH THE END OF AUGUST

Let your summer reading adventure begin at the Whitefish Bay Public Library! We’ve got a program for all ages, whether you are two or one-hundred and two. From babies all the way up to teens, we’ve got paper logs to record your reading.  It’s easy: read on your own, read together, be read to, or read to someone else. Keep track on your paper reading log and earn great prizes! Stop by the Youth Services desk today to pick up your paper log. If you lost or misplaced your log we'd be happy to get you another.

Come jam with award-winning children's artists Wendy & DB live at the library!  Wendy & DB’s melodic, interactive and contagious songs delight folks, newborn to one hundred and two!

Storytime Returns August 25

Storytime returns on Monday, August 25 and runs through September 29. Join us on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays at 10AM (Toddler Time will take place on Tuesdays at 10AM.) All ages and no registration is required. Join us for stories, songs, and fingerplays.

Great WFB Block Party

Join us for a fun time building at our all ages, drop-in Block Party!  We'll have a variety of building materials perfect for a variety of ages.  Stop by and build for 15 minute or stay for the entire session! 

Teens

Entering 7-12 Grade
Wednesday, August 20, 11AM-12PM

Get ready for Back to School by stopping by and decorating a pencil case, making a button for your backpack, or washi-taping a pencil.  We'll have snacks and pizza to enjoy.  (Food allergy?  Let us know in advance!) No registration is required.

Photography Contest

Our amateur photography contest returns for the 9th straight year! Amateur photographers of all ages are welcome to participate. Participants are allowed to enter one photo in each category, and there is $1,000 in cash prizes paid for by Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library including a Best in Show for $250.

 

New this year: People's Choice Award.  YOU will get to choose your favorite from the first place winners in each category for a $100 prize.
 
We've got 9 categories including: Travel or Landscape; People or Portrait; Architecture- Buildings, Bridges, Structures; Nature- Animals, Flowers, Outdoors, Weather, Etc; Still Life- Anything Not Listed Above;Black & White - Any Subject; Close-up or Macro; Photo Manipulation; Kids Category- Voluntary (Open to anyone under 17. Kids can enter either in the kids category and submit one photo or compete against adults in the other categories.)
