Greendale Public Library Newsletter April 2025
Delivery Volunteer
Thank You to Our Volunteers!
National Library Week 2025
April 6-12
Drawn to the Library
This year’s National Library Week Theme is, Drawn to the Library. Here at the Greendale Public Library, people visit our library for our materials such as Explorer Passes, our technology such as free computer access, our space such as the Teen Zone, our programs such as Storytime and for our outstanding services. A big part of the services the library provides are accomplished by our AMAZING volunteers! They help with the daily delivery (pictured above), pulling items for patrons, organizing the shelves, prepping crafts, and so much more. As part of National Library week, we want to send a special thank you to our volunteers. Without their service, the Greendale Public Library would not be able to function as efficiently.

So thank you to:  Mary Beth, Kathy, Cynthia, Kathleen, Nancy, Richard, Theresa, Carol, Thomas, Keira, Anna, Landon, Kate, Mairin, Alicia, Spencer, Herb, as well as the our many volunteers for special events!

Are you interested in becoming one of our wonderful volunteers? Stop in the library to pick up an application! We are looking for multiple volunteers to help this summer for our Summer Reading Program. Could that volunteer be you?

Book Cover
"Author Grady Green is having the worst best day of his life. He calls his wife, Abby, to share some exciting news as she is driving home. He hears Abby slam on the brakes when she sees something in the road ahead. Over Grady's protests, Abby gets out of the car. When he eventually finds her car by the cliff edge, the headlights are on, the driver's door is open, her phone is still there... but his wife has disappeared. A year later, Grady is still overcome with grief and desperate to know what happened to Abby. He can't sleep, and he can't write, so he travels to a tiny, remote Scottish island to try and get his life back on track. And then he sees the impossible: a woman who looks exactly like his missing wife"--Inside jacket flap.
