One-on-One Tech Help

Bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.
 
Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

OCPL Puzzle Race

Multi-purpose Room

May 2nd, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Join us in the first OCPL Puzzle Race! Teams of 2-4 members will compete to finish a 500-piece puzzle within a 1.5 hour time limit.
 
This program is open to adults and teens. Registration is required.

Library Board Meeting

Tower Room

May 8th, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

OCPL Trivia Night

May 9th, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Are you feelin’ quizzy? Join us for a night full of trivia and fun! Snacks, beverages, and music will accompany a mix of easy, medium, and hard questions. Members of the winning team will receive an OCPL Trivia trophy and a gift card to a local business.
 
Registration is required. Please limit your team to a minimum of two members and a maximum of six members.

It's Raining Books! Bag Sale

Saturday, May 10th, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Book Nook
 
The donations keep pouring in, and the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library want to share the bounty with you. Fill a provided bag for $5 with any regularly priced books, DVDs, or audiobooks and start reading. Plus, specially marked items are half-off!
 
All proceeds benefit the programs, services, and collections of the Oak Creek Public Library. Cash only. All sales are final; no refunds or credits will be issued for items purchased.

Friends of the Library Meeting

Civic Center

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Technology Training Lab

Do you wish that you knew more about how to use Facebook to connect with other family members, friends, and colleagues? Topics include: how to change your profile picture, how to send a message and post to other users' walls, friending and liking, and privacy settings. 

 
This is a single-session class. Registration is required.

Poetry Open Mic Night

Multi-purpose Room

May 16th, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m

Take the stage or simply come to enjoy our community's talented poets. Winners of the Poetry Contest from April 2025 will be awarded at the beginning of this event and then invited to share their winning entries.
 
This program is open to all ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. If you would like to participate in the open mic, registration is recommended but not required.
