Preparing for the worst-case scenario is difficult. This workshop presented by Victor Frasher from Educators Credit Union covers what goes into estate planning and how you can protect your family and guarantee assets are shared as desired in case of death.

Participants will learn the basics of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Topics include: how to create a simple document, create a monthly expense spreadsheet, create a simple slideshow, create a business card, and more.

 
This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

Friends of the Library Meeting

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Meet authors Libby Shea, Nicholas Seidler, Robert Warnock, and Steven Warren Hill as they present their work "How to Celebrate Your Fandom." Following the discussion, copies will be available for purchase and signing.

Family, Teen, and Children's Programs

Character Championship

Begins Mar. 3rd

Do you think your favorite character has what it takes to win a Character Championship? Your vote will decide! To be entered into the contest, your bracket must be in and completed between March 3-17. Then, make sure to vote each week for your favorite characters. The first round of voting will be from March 18-24, the second round from March 25-31, the third & final round from April 1-7.
 
Winners (those with correctly picked brackets) will receive a Book Nook coupon and an exclusive pin. Brackets and voting slips will be available at a table in front of the green train carriage located on the 1st floor of the library.
 
This program is for all ages. Registration is not required.
