This December, help ensure a bright future for the Whitefish Bay Public Library by supporting the Whitefish Bay Public Library Foundation. Your donation will help enhance our services, collections, and programs for the community.

We’ll honor your donation by placing an LED tea light in our windows to Light the Library!

Our goal this holiday season is to raise $25,000. Every donation, from $1-$10,000, brings us closer to reaching that goal.

Holiday Closing

The library will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25. We will also be closed on Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1. Otherwise the library is open regular hours. You can always check days closed for holidays on our website below.

Programs for Adults

Safetalk Suicide Prevention Training- We Can Save Lives Tour
Sunday, January 5, 12-4PM

Please join us for a Safetalk suicide prevention training tour across Wisconsin in memory of Alderman Jonathan Brostoff OBM.

What is Safetalk? Safetalk is a 4-hour training that prepares you to become a trained suicide-alert helper.

Led by Levi Stein
Executive Director, The Friendship Circle of WI
Levi is a licensed SafeTALK Suicide Prevention trainer. He is extremely passionate about Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and has provided training to thousands of people throughout Wisconsin.

Registration is limited and required!

Storytime

All Ages Storytime
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays at 10:00-10:30AM

Join us for stories, songs, and more at an all ages storytime! What's Storytime? Storytime is a time to share books, stories, songs, and fun while building early literacy skills.

Toddler Time Storytime
Tuesdays at 10:00-10:30AM
Through December 17
12mo-24mo with an adult caregiver. (Siblings are welcome.) Registration open now.

Toddler Time is back! Join Miss Valerie for stories, songs, lap bounces and more, followed by a playtime for our little ones.

Drop-In Winter Solstice Craft
Saturday, December 21, All Day
All Ages. No Registration Required

Stop by the Youth Services area anytime during open hours to make a process-focused winter solstice themed craft.

All Ages Block Party
Thursday, December 26, 3-4PM
All ages with an adult caregiver. No registration required.

Join us for a fun time building at our all ages, drop-in Block Party! We'll have a variety of building materials perfect for a variety of ages, and you're invited to come and build. Stop by for 15 minutes of building or stay for the entire session!

We Are Hiring- Shelvers!

We are currently hiring for the position of shelver. Are you interested in a part time job (4-6 hours a week) at the Whitefish Bay Public Library? Are for an application at the Circulation Desk and submit it by December 6.
