2:00 - 4:00 p.m. by appt. only

Are you looking for one-on-one technology assistance? On Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.
 
Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

Consider joining OCPL's Writing Club! Members meet every other Saturday to explore a new prompt, share their work, and workshop current projects. This is a member-lead club, so the structure is flexible to the needs of each session. We hope you can join us!

Friends of the Library Meeting

Civic Center

Dec. 11th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.
 
Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically held in the CIvic Center.

Library Board Meeting

Dec. 12th, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Happy Paw-lidays: Adoptable Dogs Meet and Greet

Multi-purpose Room

Dec. 21st, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m

Come say "Hi!" to adoptable dogs at Woof Gang Rescue's holiday meet and greet! Dogs are not able to be adopted at this event, but Woof Gang Rescue will get you started in the application process.

 

All ages are welcome to attend. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required.

Winter Reading Challenge

Registration opens Dec. 1st

The Winter Reading Challenge runs Sunday, December 1 – Friday, February 28. Upon registration, participants will have their name added to the window mural overlooking Drexel Town Square. After reading for 15 days, participants will receive a prize (available while supplies last).
 
Need books? Let us build you a book bundle! Tell us what kind of books you’d like and a librarian will select titles based on your request. Get started.

This 30-minute Story Time is geared toward children ages 2-5, with an adult (siblings welcome). We'll be incorporating music and movement into all books, songs, and rhymes.
