Computer Skills 2.0

Technology Training Lab

August 8th - 29th

6:00 - 8:30 p.m

This 4-week computer class is for people who are ready for the next level of instruction. Topics include: desktop/taskbar customization, an in-depth look at the file explorer, Internet search tips, as well as guidelines to keep yourself safe while using your computer.

 
This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

Library Board Meeting - CANCELED

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Friends of the Library Farmer's Market Book Sale

Drexel Town Square

August 10th, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m

Join us for a $0.50 sale at the Farmers Market in Drexel Town Square on select Saturdays. There is a huge selection to choose from, so see what treasures you can find!

Each item is just $0.50, and all proceeds benefit the programs, services, and collections of the Oak Creek Public Library.

Home Buyer's Workshop

Multi-purpose Room

August 20th, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

If the idea of buying a home is on your mind, don't miss out on this workshop tailored just for you! A local realtor and a mortgage broker will share their valuable insights to help you feel at ease in today's housing market. Bring your questions, and they'll leverage their years of experience to provide expert answers. Refreshments will be offered.

Registration is required. Instead of registering through the library's LocalHop, please register on the seminar site.

Intergenerational Story Time

Multi-purpose Room

August 23rd, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

This 30-minute Story Time welcomes children of all ages with their caregivers and seniors from the community, including some special guests from The Waters. It will feature stories and songs followed by a playtime and social for all attendees. 

This program is geared toward all ages. Registration is not required.

July 24 - August 21

A traveling display from the Wisconsin Historical Society is currently available to view on the 2nd floor of the Oak Creek Public Library. The eight-panel display shares the important story of women's quest for political rights and recognition through quotes, photographs, and a timeline of events.

Summer Reading Challenge

Registration opens June 8th

Join Oak Creek Public Library in reading over the summer. This all-ages Summer Reading Challenge runs Saturday, June 8 – Saturday, August 10. Upon registration, participants will have their name added to the window mural overlooking Drexel Town Square. After reading for 15 days, participants will receive a prize (while supplies last). Prizes will be available Saturday, June 22 – Saturday, August 10, or while supplies last.

Story Time at the Farmers Market

Meet us at the Farmers Market for Story TIme! This 20-minute interactive Story Time incorporates stories, songs, and rhymes.
 
This program is geared toward children ages 2-5, with an adult (siblings welcome). Registration is not required.
