SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Let your summer reading adventure begin at the Whitefish Bay Public Library! We’ve got a program for all ages, whether you are two or one-hundred and two. From babies all the way up to teens, we’ve got paper logs to record your reading. It’s easy: read on your own, read together, be read to, or read to someone else. Keep track on your paper reading log and earn great prizes! Stop by the Youth Services desk starting to pick up your paper log or claim your prizes.
SUMMER STORYTIME
Outdoor Storytime on the North Library Lawn Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays,10AM Now through August 1
We're excited to offer outdoor storytime for all ages on the library's north lawn.
Join us for stories, songs, and more.
In case of bad weather, we'll hold storytime in the Storytime Room.
Drop-In Crafting: Merit Badge Buttons Wednesday, July 3 All Day
All ages. No registration required.
Stop by the youth services area to make your very own summer merit badge buttons and celebrate your summer accomplishments. Create your own design or use one of our pre-made templates!
Paper Plate Mobiles Wednesday, July 10, 3:30-5PM
All ages (young children must be accompanied by an adult.) No registration required.
Make a mobile at this process-focused art program. We'll start with a simple paper plate and then give a wide range of craft supplies to make your very spinning mobile.
What's process-focused art? It's open ended, self motivated and the emphasis is on the process of making the art, rather than the product produced.
Summer Sketching Friday, July 12, 3PM Young children welcome with an adult caregiver. No registration required.
Join us for a new series: summer sketching! We'll provide the sketchbooks and materials, and we'll also have a variety of prompts to inspire. Join us for the entire series or only for one day.

We're finishing our summer sketching series with a Plein Air session on the library's North Library Lawn. Plein air means "in the open air" so everyone is encouraged to be inspired by the beautiful outdoors.
As always, we'll provide the sketchbooks and materials, and we'll also have a variety of prompts to inspire. Join us for the entire series or only for one day.

Family Art Night: Yarn Sticks Tuesday, July 30, 6-7:30PM
All ages with an adult caregiver. No registration required.
You're invited to Family Art night! At this event, you're invited to work together to create yarn sticks. Bring a stick from home or a favorite park or use one that we provide. We’ll also have yarn, charms, and beads to personalize this open-ended, process-focused family art project.
