Adult Programs

Musical Sing-along Nights

Multi-purpose Room

May 3rd, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Come and sing along to a well-known and loved movie musical at our ‘Musical Sing-along Nights’. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Snacks/beverages will be provided. Stay for a chance to win themed raffle prizes!

Registration is not required. This program is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Introduction to Mechatronics

Technology Training Lab

May 10th, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

As an Introduction to Mechatronics, this industry recognized certification aims to relay foundational information and develop hands-on skills in the areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Technology. Students will utilize real-world automation devices and gain additional skills in STEM.

This class is for adults only and is held over a 4-week period. Registration is required.

Home Buyer & Seller Workshop

Multi-purpose Room

May 11th, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

If you are thinking about purchasing or selling a house or increasing your own home's value, this workshop is for you! Jackie Eaton and Gail Green—both local, licensed realtors—will provide you with all of the information needed to become comfortable in today's housing market. Bring your questions, and they will answer based off of their years of experience!

Registration is not required.

Friends of the Library Meeting
Technology Training Lab

May 10th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically held in the Technology Training Lab.

Library Board Meeting

Tower Room

May 11th, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Advanced Excel: PivotTables

Technology Training Lab

May 18th

6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

In this advanced Excel computer class, you will learn how to use PivotTables. This is recommended for people who have an intermediate level knowledge of Excel (or who have taken an Intermediate Excel class).

This is a signle-session class. Registration is required.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. by appt. only

Are you looking for one-on-one technology assistance? On Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.

Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

Pick up lockers are located on the west side of the library next to the entrance doors along 6th Street, allowing you to pick up your holds day or night, all 365 days of the year. To use this method of pick up, select ‘Oak Creek Locker’ as the pickup location when placing items on hold via CountyCat.

This 15-20-minute Story Time is geared toward children ages birth to 24 months, with an adult. It incorporates short stories, songs, and lapsit rhymes.

Registration is not required. Please only attend one time slot per day.

Let's have a Poke-Ball crafting terrariums for Pokémon! You'll choose your fighter, pick your decorations, and get crafting. Don't worry, no real Bulb-asaurs will be planted, so no need to water it. 

This program is for those in grades 6-8. Registration is required.

Are you interested in volunteering at the library? Come and learn about the teen volunteer program and opportunities available this summer. This orientation is required for new volunteers and encouraged for returning volunteers.

This program is for those entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2023. Registration is required.
