Adult Programs

Musical Sing-along Nights

Multi-purpose Room

April 5th, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Come and sing along to a well-known and loved movie musical at our ‘Musical Sing-along Nights’. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Snacks/beverages will be provided. Stay for a chance to win themed raffle prizes!

Registration is not required. This program is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Computer Class

Intermediate Microsoft Office

Technology Training Lab

April 6th - 27th

6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

This computer class is recommended for people who have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Learn intermediate concepts in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher

This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. by appt. only

Are you looking for one-on-one technology assistance? On Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.

Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

Friends of the Library Meeting
Technology Training Lab

April 12th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically held in the Technology Training Lab.

Library Board Meeting

Tower Room

April 13th, 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Adoptable Dogs
Meet and Greet

Multi-purpose Room

April 22nd, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Come say "Hi!" to adoptable dogs at Woof Gang Rescue's meet and greet. Every dog at Woof Gang Rescue stays with a foster family until they go to their forever home. They are a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer all-breed dog rescue.

This program is geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome to attend. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required.

This family dance party combines books, music, and movement to create a groovy afternoon! Bring your dancing shoes!

This 15-20-minute Story Time is geared toward children ages birth to 24 months, with an adult. It incorporates short stories, songs, and lapsit rhymes.

Registration is not required. Please only attend one time slot per day.

Books 2 Movies Contest

YA Section (2nd floor)

Write a review of a book made into a movie OR a movie made into a book. You may enter multiple times, but each entry should be for a different title. The entry box will be on display in the YA section throughout the month of April. Enter to win a movie gift card!

This program is geared toward teens. Registration is not required.

Prime Time to Rhyme and Write a Delight Night

To celebrate National Poetry Month and National Letter Writing Month, please join us at the Oak Creek Public Library for some rhyming fun on a bun (that’s not in the sun) and a chance to create some snail mail.
