Technology Training Lab

This monthly book club is for readers who want to explore and discuss great books with fellow book lovers. The next meeting is on the morning of March 1st!

Registration is required. There are very limited spots available, so please register today.

Musical Sing-along Nights

March 1st, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Come and sing along to a well-known and loved movie musical at our ‘Musical Sing-along Nights’. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Snacks/beverages will be provided. Stay for a chance to win themed raffle prizes!

Registration is not required. This program is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Office for Beginners

March 9th - 30th

6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Do you need to use Microsoft Office products for work or school? Wish that you were more familiar with the basics? Participants will learn the basics of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

Are you looking for one-on-one technology assistance? On Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.

Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

March 8th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically held in the Technology Training Lab.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually.

Oak Creek Public Library recently relaunched its 3D printing services with a new machine, customizable capabilities, and a selection of preexisting designs. Browse the library or submit a request form.

Family and Children's Programs

It's a Mario Party

March 2nd, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Save the Princess, "Ground Pound" the Goombas, and break some bricks at our Mario Party! We'll have crafts, activities, and games to play.

This program is for those in grades 2-5. Registration is required.

Pokémon Scavenger Hunt

March 9th, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Search for your favorite Pokémon throughout the library. We will also have Pokémon-related games, crafts, and other fun activities.

All ages are welcome to come to this family-friendly event! Registration is not required.

Trust the Process

March 16th, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Movie Party

March 27th, 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Come watch a family-friendly movie as we make crafts + snacks and have a great time! There will be a limited amount of snacks, so first come, first served.

This program is for ages 4-11, with an adult. Registration is not required.

Come to your senses and come explore them at the library! We'll look, listen, smell, and feel our way through different stations to delight every sense.

This program is for ages 3-7, with an adult. Registration is not required.

STEAM Lab

Create a Zipline

Story Time Room

March 29th, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Work as a team to create, experiment, and learn through hands-on activities. During this session, you will use the materials provided to create a zipline.

This program is for those in grades 2-5. Registration is required.

Dashing Through Coding

Multi-purpose Room

March 30th - 31st

2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

We'll learn to code with Dash (our programmable robot) and put on a dance show. On day one we will work on the coding, and on day two we'll decorate your Dash and get boogieing! 

This program is for those in grades 2-5. Registration is required.

This time on Not Your Mother's Library, our hosts help you celebrate Valentine's Day with some books that are romantic and others that are just a little...sinister.
