Adult Programs

Musical Sing-along Nights
Multi-purpose Room
Feb. 1st, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Come and sing along to a well-known and loved movie musical at our ‘Musical Sing-along Nights’. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Snacks/beverages will be provided. Stay for a chance to win themed raffle prizes!

Registration is not required. This program is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Computer Class

*NEW* Computer Skills 2.0

Technology Training Lab

6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Most people feel pretty comfortable with the basic computer skills (clicking, accessing the Internet, sending emails, etc.). This new computer class is for people who are ready for the next level of instruction. 

This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m. by appt. only
Are you looking for one-on-one technology assistance? On Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.

Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

Friends of the Library Meeting
Technology Training Lab
Feb. 8th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically held in the Technology Training Lab.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually

Covering WI - Answering Health Insurance Questions

Learn how to secure health insurance coverage, seek timely care, and navigate the healthcare system. The presenter, Cheryl Isabell, will speak to patrons about how to contact Covering WI and will dive into how to take advantage of their free services.

Voting for the Milwaukee County Teen Book Awards​ (MCTBA) runs thru March 1st. Vote for the 2022/2023 nominees any time by emailing mctba.votes@gmail.com, submitting a paper ballot at your local library, or filling out this Google Form.

Winter Reading Challenge
Registration opened Dec. 1st
The Winter Reading Challenge runs Thursday, December 1 – Tuesday, February 28. Patrons of all ages may participate. After 10 hours of reading, participants will receive a prize* and have their name added to a mural located on the library windows overlooking Drexel Town Square.

*Prizes available while supplies last

Blind Date with a Book
YA Section (2nd floor)

Blind Date Books are located on the display in the YA section throughout the month of February. After you read your mystery book, tell us a bit about it by filling out a review form, and we'll give you a sweet treat. Participants can turn in forms at the second-floor service desk.

This program is intended for teens, but adults may also participate. Registration is not required.
