Computer Class
Technology Training Lab

Basic Computer Skills

Jan. 4th - 25th

9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Participants will learn computer, Internet, search tool, and basic email concepts. Topics include: using a mouse, opening and closing windows, going to websites, navigating a website, using the online Library catalog, using google.com, as well as sending, replying to, and deleting emails.

This is a 4-week class. Registration is required.

Musical Sing-along Nights
Multi-purpose Room
Jan 4th, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Come and sing along to a well-known and loved movie musical at our ‘Musical Sing-along Nights’. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Snacks/beverages will be provided. Stay for a chance to win themed raffle prizes!

Registration is not required. This program is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Friends of the Library Meeting
Technology Training Lab
Jan. 11th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 p.m., typically held in the Technology Training Lab.

Library Board Meeting

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually

Are you looking for one-on-one technology assistance? On Thursdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., bring in your device for a 30-minute appointment with a librarian. Library laptops will be available for general computer assistance.

Registration for each Thursday opens the Monday prior. You may only register for one 30 minute session per Thursday; walk-in appointments are not available.

Speaker from Habitat for Humanity
Multi-purpose Room
Jan. 31st, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Habitat for Humanity's Director of Development, Andy Heuer, will be presenting information on the different ways residents of Milwaukee County can become involved and take advantage of the organization's resources. He will describe what the organization does, who it benefits, and how everyone can donate time and resources.

Registration is recommended.

Winter Reading Challenge
Registration opened Dec. 1st
The Winter Reading Challenge runs Thursday, December 1 – Tuesday, February 28. Patrons of all ages may participate. After 10 hours of reading, participants will receive a prize* and have their name added to a mural located on the library windows overlooking Drexel Town Square.

*Prizes available while supplies last
