Adult Programs

Computer Class
Technology Training Lab
Office for Beginners
Sept. 1st-22nd, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Do you need to use Microsoft Office products for work or school? Wish that you were more familiar with the basics? In this 4-week computer class, participants will learn the basics of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. 

While currently scheduled to be held in-person, this can change at any time. If the program is to be held virtually via the ‘Oak Creek Public Library’ YouTube channel, all registered participants will be contacted prior to each class. Registration is required.

Musical Sing-along Nights
Multi-purpose Room
Sept. 7th, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Come and sing along to some of the most well-known & loved movie musicals at our ‘Musical Sing-along Nights’! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Snacks/beverages will be provided. Stay for a chance to win themed raffle prizes!

Registration is not required. This program is for all ages, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Friends of the Library Meeting
Technology Training Lab
Sept. 14th, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
For more than 20 years, the Friends of the Oak Creek Public Library has served as an independent organization of persons and businesses interested in assisting the library in developing programs, encouraging gifts, promoting knowledge and providing a channel for individuals and organizations to express ideas and make suggestions for library use and services.

Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month (except for July and August) at 6:00 pm, typically held in the Technology Training Lab.

The Oak Creek Public Library Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Oak Creek Public Library. The Board is composed of seven members, each appointed by the Mayor for staggered three-year terms. The board usually meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Civic Center. Some meetings may be held virtually

Morning Book CLub

The Oak Creek Public Library Morning Book Club is looking to grow! If you love to read and you want to expand your horizons with a group of people who love to read books, please join us.

Morning Book Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, September thru May, from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Civic Center. Registration is required.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Sept. 8th, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Get ready for a snuggly night at the Oak Creek Public Library. The evening will include crafts, a cozy storytime, and you’ll get to tuck in your stuffed animal for a sleepover at the library. Wear your comfiest pajamas and bring a stuffed animal who you feel okay spending a night or two without. We’ll keep an eye on your fuzzy friends and post about the fun they find on our Facebook page.

This program is intended for ages 4-11, with an adult (siblings welcome). Registration is not required.

Teen Volunteer Orientation
Multi-purpose Room
Sept. 13th, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Are you interested in volunteering at the library? Come and learn about the teen volunteer program and opportunities available this fall. This orientation is required for new volunteers and encouraged for returning volunteers. New volunteers must submit the volunteer application before the event.

This program is intended for those entering grades 7-12 in Fall 2022. Registration is required.

Help us promote literacy!
Every month, Oak Creek Public Library selects one reader at random to feature on an official READ poster. Winners also receive a limited edition button or magnet prize.

Interested in participating? To enter, simply send us your first name, last name, and your photograph. You can do this via Facebook Messenger by contacting @OakCreekLibrary OR by emailing us at library@oakcreekwi.gov.

Please note that by sending us a name and photograph, you give the Oak Creek Public Library permission to share them at our discretion in order to promote literacy via official READ posters, social media posts, et cetera.
